Mahajan Field Firing Range, September 24 (Daily Kiran) : In a significant display of military collaboration, Indian and US forces showcased their joint strike capabilities at the Mahajan Field Firing Range in Rajasthan on September 24. The event, part of the ongoing “War Exercise 2026,” was attended by US Ambassador Sergio Gore and Lieutenant General Vikrant Suresh Deshpande, the General Officer Commanding of the 10th Corps.
The demonstration featured coordinated firing exercises involving artillery, rockets, helicopters, air defense, and surveillance systems from both nations. Notably, the Indian Army’s Pinaka multi-barrel rocket launcher, M777 ultra-light howitzer, and Dhanush artillery system participated alongside AH-64E Apache attack helicopters and Swathi weapon locating radar.
The US Army displayed its capabilities with systems like HIMARS and M-ATV, emphasizing the ability of both forces to integrate various weapon systems in a challenging field environment. The exercise focused on enhancing coordination between artillery, rockets, combat helicopters, air defense, and surveillance systems.
This joint training was not just about showcasing weaponry; it aimed to strengthen the ability to plan, coordinate, and execute complex military operations effectively. Such exercises foster operational synergy, professional trust, and mutual confidence between the two armies.
