IIT Delhi Hosts BE Con 26 to Boost Startup Ecosystem

New Delhi witnessed a convergence of cutting-edge technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Deep-Tech at IIT Delhi, where the event ‘BE Con 26’ is being led entirely by students. This three-day conference, which began on January 30, is expected to attract over 25,000 technology enthusiasts across the country.

BE Con 26 is one of India’s largest startup and business summits, recognised as a premier student-led entrepreneurship event. Before the main conference at IIT Delhi, regional rounds were held in Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Guwahati, and Jaipur. These regional events saw enthusiastic participation from local startups, students, and investors, strengthening the national startup ecosystem significantly.

The conference is organised by IIT Delhi’s Entrepreneurship Development Cell. The theme for BE Con 26 is “Engineering the Mind of Machines: Crafted in India for the World”, highlighting how technology and machines developed in India are being prepared for global markets. The event brings together prominent industrialists, startup founders, CEOs, investors, government officials, tech experts, and young entrepreneurs on a single platform.

More than 5,000 institutions, incubators, and accelerators are expected to participate in this grand event. Notable entrepreneurs and business leaders such as Sanjeev Bikhchandani, Pratham Mittal, Ashneer Grover, Raghav Chandra, Vaibhav Tiwari, Nitin Jain, Shailaj Nag, Nitin Tyagi, and Tanmay Bhatt will share their insights on startup creation, growth, and innovation challenges with students.

The conference features a range of activities, including startup idea pitching platforms, funding sessions, an incubators summit, networking meets, and a national-level hackathon supported by the Ministry of Home Affairs. Additionally, there are startup expos, auto and tech expos, workshops, policy discussions, and a creators conclave. These events offer an excellent opportunity for youth to learn, connect, and grow.

Experts believe that BE Con 26 at a prestigious institution like IIT Delhi will play a significant role in guiding emerging startup founders and innovators toward success in India’s growing entrepreneurial landscape.
