Ahmedabad, August 10: IIM Ahmedabad’s impressive track record in developing leaders has made it a natural partner for Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas in establishing the Cyril Shroff-IIMA GC Leadership Academy. This statement was made by Paridhi Adani, a partner and Gujarat head at the prestigious law firm, on Monday.
Adani emphasized the significance of this collaboration, noting that IIM Ahmedabad has advanced beyond traditional legal education to explore the broader roles of law and lawyers in the economy and enterprises.
“I believe the choice of IIM Ahmedabad was a natural one. It is an institution known for building frameworks and developing numerous leaders in the country. We were pleasantly surprised by how openly they embraced this idea,” Adani stated.
She added, “The directors and professors we have collaborated with over the past few months have dedicated their time, energy, efforts, and perspectives to this initiative with full commitment.”
According to her, the academy will focus on areas that legal professionals do not typically encounter in law school or traditional legal practice. These include the intersection of policy and technology, human behavior, and other theories related to businesses and the broader economy.
Cyril Shroff, managing partner of Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, along with IIM Ahmedabad, has jointly established the Cyril Shroff-IIMA GC Leadership Academy. Its aim is to prepare modern General Counsels, who must take on responsibilities beyond traditional legal advice and manage various aspects of contemporary enterprises.
An official statement revealed that the academy’s establishment is made possible through the personal philanthropic commitment of Cyril Shroff and the Shroff family.
