
Dubai, March 10: The ICC has unveiled the Team of the Tournament for the T20 World Cup 2026, featuring four standout players from India. The players recognized include Sanju Samson, Jasprit Bumrah, Ishan Kishan, and Hardik Pandya, with Sanju winning the Player of the Tournament award.
In a remarkable performance, Sanju Samson partnered with Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan, who scored the highest runs in the tournament with 383. Sanju excelled, amassing 321 runs in just five matches, playing crucial innings in both the semi-final and final to lead India to victory.
Ishan Kishan, known for his consistent scoring, also made the ICC’s best team, contributing 317 runs over nine matches. South Africa’s captain Aiden Markram, who guided his team to the semi-finals, earned a spot in the team as well, scoring 286 runs at a strike rate of 165 across eight matches.
Hardik Pandya, who made significant contributions with both bat and ball, was included in the team. He scored two half-centuries and delivered key bowling spells during the tournament. England’s all-rounder Will Jacks also made the cut.
The bowling attack of the ICC’s best team is led by Jasprit Bumrah, who was among the top wicket-takers with 14 wickets in eight matches. He is supported by Lungi Ngidi, Blessing Muzarabani, and Jason Holder, while Adil Rashid is the sole spinner. The twelfth player selected is American fast bowler Shadley van Schalkwyk, who took 13 wickets in just four matches.
