Huawei Pura X Max Design Unveiled Ahead of April 20 Launch with Five Color Options

Mumbai, April 14: Huawei has officially unveiled the Pura X Max ahead of its launch event scheduled for April 20. This announcement marks a significant shift in the foldable smartphone market, indicating a larger form factor and a unique approach to usability compared to traditional foldables.

Huawei Pura X Max: The First Horizontally Wide Foldable Design

The Huawei Pura X Max is being touted as the industry’s first horizontally wide foldable smartphone. It emphasizes a broader internal display rather than the conventional tall, narrow design. When unfolded, the device is expected to feature a screen size of approximately 7.6 to 7.69 inches with a 16:10 aspect ratio, providing a tablet-like experience. This design is particularly beneficial for multitasking, media consumption, and productivity, making it comparable to compact tablets like the iPad mini.

The outer display is reported to measure around 5.5 inches, enabling users to manage everyday tasks such as messaging and calls without the need to unfold the device. The design features a relatively flat frame, a centered punch-hole camera on the cover display, and a slightly offset punch-hole on the internal screen. On the back, Huawei appears to have implemented a horizontally aligned camera module equipped with multiple sensors.

Internally, the Pura X Max is rumored to be powered by Huawei’s Kirin 9030 chipset, which is also expected to be featured in the upcoming Pura 90 series.

Huawei has already commenced pre-orders in China, with the official launch set for April 20, alongside the Pura 90 series. The official listing reveals various storage options: 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB (Collector’s Edition), and 16GB+1TB. Color options include black, white, blue, gold, and orange.
