Honey Trap

Jaipur, October 24 (Daily Kiran) — In a swift and decisive operation, Alwar Police have exposed a honey trap and blackmailing racket, arresting three accused, including a woman, within just 12 hours of the complaint being filed. The gang allegedly trapped a man, recorded his obscene videos, and threatened to frame him in a false rape case while demanding ₹30 lakh in extortion.

Honey Trap

According to SP Sudhir Chaudhary, the incident took place on October 22, when accused woman Shahruna lured the victim to her residence under the pretext of a medical consultation. As soon as the complainant reached the location near the RTO Office, he was ambushed by Shahruna and her accomplices — Wasim Khan alias Musa and Priyanshu Chaudhary alias Godhu.

The trio allegedly assaulted the victim, tore his clothes, and forced him to stand in his undergarments while recording obscene photos and videos with the woman. They then demanded ₹30 lakh, threatening to file a fake rape case and ruin his reputation if he refused to pay. The accused also robbed him of some valuables and cash before fleeing, abandoning him near the Padisal Road area.

Swift Action Leads to Arrests Within 12 Hours

Upon receiving the complaint, SP Sudhir Chaudhary immediately formed special police teams under SHO Shivaji Park Vinod Samariya and SHO Vijay Mandir Bharatlal. Using intelligence and technical surveillance, the teams successfully arrested all three accused within 12 hours.

In an attempt to evade arrest, main accused Priyanshu alias Godhu (21) had reportedly shaved his head to change his appearance. However, he was soon tracked down and taken into custody.

The other accused were identified as Wasim Khan alias Musa (18), resident of Vijay Mandir, and Shahruna (33), who has reportedly been married twice.

Criminal Background and Recoveries

Police revealed that Priyanshu Chaudhary has a long criminal record, with multiple cases of assault, intimidation, and offences under the SC/ST Act already registered against him in various police stations.

During the operation, police also recovered an Android mobile phone used to record the videos and a gold locket belonging to the victim.

Authorities believe the gang may have been involved in similar blackmail and honey-trap cases in the past, and further investigation is underway to identify other victims and associates.
