Mumbai, May 3: Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has reported a remarkable 17% year-on-year growth in sales for April 2026. According to a report by Gaadiwadi, the company sold a total of 563,000 units in April 2026, a significant increase from 480,000 units sold during the same period last year.
The surge in sales reflects a strong consumer demand in the two-wheeler segment. Domestic sales contributed significantly, with 484,000 units sold in April 2026, marking a 14.7% increase compared to 422,000 units sold in April 2025. This growth indicates a robust consumer interest in Honda’s diverse product range, which includes entry-level commuter motorcycles, premium models, and a versatile scooter portfolio.
In terms of exports, Honda recorded a 37.4% year-on-year growth, with 79,600 units exported in April 2026, up from 57,900 units last year.
Honda operates four manufacturing plants located in Manesar, Tapukara, Narsapura, and Vitthalapur. The company has established a network of over 7,000 touchpoints across the country, ensuring excellent service for buyers. Hero MotoCorp maintained its leading position in the two-wheeler market, achieving total sales of 566,086 units in April 2026, a significant increase from 305,406 units during the same period last year.
Suzuki Motorcycle India also reported impressive sales, with 117,514 units sold in April 2026, marking a 4% increase from the previous year. The domestic market accounted for 98,004 units, while exports rose by 10% to 19,510 units.
