Cuttack, March 6: Home Minister Amit Shah attended the 57th Foundation Day ceremony of the CISF held in Cuttack on Friday. He remarked that after 56 years, the CISF has achieved significant milestones. The number 57 symbolizes not just a figure but a journey of dedication and duty, reflecting the steadfast efforts in industrial security from the ground up.
He emphasized that envisioning a robust economy for the nation and making it the world’s largest economy cannot happen without industrial development. To ensure a secure environment for industrial growth, a national-level Industrial Security Force is essential. Shah expressed pride that over these 56 years, the CISF has fulfilled its foundational objectives while adapting to various challenges and modernizing itself, all while preserving traditions.
The Home Minister expressed his delight at the organization of conferences for security forces. Those defending the nation’s borders deserve such opportunities, and individuals working in various security roles within civilian sectors should also have a platform. He congratulated the CISF for this initiative, stating that India’s industrial development cannot be envisioned without the CISF. Whether at airports, ports, or large industrial units, the CISF has always stood as a robust shield for the nation.
He announced that the Ministry of Home Affairs has decided to assign security at all ports to the CISF, ensuring confidence in this area. Shah highlighted two significant resolutions presented by the Prime Minister to the public: to become a fully developed nation by 2047 and to reach the position of the world’s number one economy, aiming to be the third-largest economy by 2027. The CISF will play a crucial role in achieving these goals.
