Home Minister Amit Shah Begins Three-Day Gujarat Visit Today

Ahmedabad, December 5 – Union Home Minister Amit Shah will begin his three-day Gujarat visit from Friday. During this tour, he will participate in 25 public programmes across Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Sanadar (Diyodar), Wav-Tharad and surrounding areas.

The purpose of this visit is to promote reforms in the cooperative sector, urban development, public welfare infrastructure and cultural outreach in the state.

Shah’s tour will commence with the inauguration of ‘Swadeshostav’ organised by Swadeshi Jagran Manch at GMDC Ground in Memnagar. Later, he will participate in the closing session of NABARD’s Arth Summit 2025 at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar.

On the first day, the Home Minister will inaugurate several civic facilities. During this, he will launch a new public garden, a yoga studio, a primary school building, LC-11 railway overbridge, an under-bridge sports complex, a primary health centre and PNG gas pipeline connections in three villages. He will conclude the day with the closing ceremony of Sansad Khel Utsav, followed by the inauguration of Ahmedabad Shopping Festival.

On December 6, Amit Shah will visit Banas Dairy in Sanadar and perform foundation stone laying and inaugurations of multiple projects. He will also chair a meeting of the Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Cooperation, which will signal the Centre’s continuous emphasis on expanding and strengthening cooperative institutions across the country.

The final day of the tour on December 7 will focus on major housing and infrastructure projects in Ahmedabad. Union Home Minister Shah will inaugurate 861 EWS houses under PMAY in Thaltej and 350 houses under Slum Rehabilitation Scheme in Nava Vadaj.

Additionally, he will launch an oxygen park built through PPP, new lakes in Shakari and Vastrapur, new community facilities, a mini sports complex and several public amenities.

Before participating in the major Varni Amrit Mahotsav hosted by BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha at Sabarmati Riverfront, Shah will also release the Gujarati edition of the book “Challenges Inspire Me” written on Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel.
