
Srinagar, August 12: Ahead of Independence Day, various districts in Jammu and Kashmir witnessed vibrant tricolor rallies as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga‘ campaign. In Srinagar, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha led a grand tricolor rally from SKICC to the Botanical Garden, celebrating the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga-26′ festival.
Manoj Sinha expressed his pride on social media, stating, “Today is truly a historic day! I feel honored to participate in the tricolor march in Srinagar and address the public. The tricolor proudly waves here on this sacred land, symbolizing the vibrant consciousness of India, while ‘Vande Mataram’ resonates as its immortal voice. It represents our collective strength, unity, and unwavering patriotism.”
Darakhshan Andrabi, Chairperson of the Waqf Board, joined the rally in Srinagar, highlighting the participation of people from all over Kashmir, especially children and officials from various districts. “The tricolor is not just waving in people’s hands; there is enthusiasm and passion in everyone’s hearts today,” she remarked.
Similarly, the Anantnag district administration organized a massive tricolor march under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ initiative, attracting thousands of participants. In Bandipora, a grand rally was held from the mini-secretariat to the sports stadium, featuring students, local residents, elected representatives, police, and CRPF personnel. A student mentioned, “Today, a tricolor rally is being held from the DC office to SK Stadium in Bandipora.”
In Doda, the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign is gaining momentum ahead of Independence Day. The Doda Municipal Council is distributing national flags to homes and shops in various wards, encouraging residents to display them respectfully and correctly.
Ravi Saini, Executive Officer of the Doda Municipal Council, stated, “Our team has been actively running the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign for several days. We are raising awareness in different wards and markets, informing people how to hoist and display the national flag with respect and enthusiasm at their homes.”
