Udaipur, June 10, 2026 (Daily Kiran): Hindustan Zinc Limited, the world’s largest integrated zinc producer and among the top ten silver producers globally, has signed an MoU with Sulfozyme Agro India Private Limited under its flagship Zinc Industrial Park initiative at Khankhala in Rajasthan’s Bhilwara district.
The partnership marks another strategic step towards strengthening India’s downstream zinc sector through sustainable metal recovery, resource efficiency and innovation-led industrial development.
Under the agreement, Sulfozyme Agro will establish its proposed operations within the Zinc Industrial Park, focusing on processing zinc-based materials into value-added products for industrial and downstream applications. Hindustan Zinc will support the venture through assured raw material supply and long-term ecosystem assistance, enabling efficient operations, integrated supply chains and large-scale manufacturing within the park.
The collaboration is also aligned with Hindustan Zinc’s broader vision of strengthening the downstream industrial ecosystem by creating opportunities for local entrepreneurship, industrial growth and value-added manufacturing in Rajasthan.
The Zinc Industrial Park was first announced by Bhajan Lal Sharma and Anil Agarwal during the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit in December 2024. The initiative continues to advance through phased investor partnerships and strategic collaborations, reflecting Hindustan Zinc’s long-term vision of positioning Rajasthan as a leading manufacturing hub for zinc-based industries and value-added products.
Developed in collaboration with Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation, the Zinc Industrial Park is a dedicated downstream manufacturing hub designed to integrate raw material availability with value-added zinc production. The park offers ready-to-use infrastructure, proximity to raw material sources and an industry-focused operating environment for zinc processors, MSMEs and downstream manufacturers.
Speaking on the occasion, Arun Misra, CEO of Hindustan Zinc, said the company is focused on building a future-ready industrial platform based on innovation, sustainability and efficient resource utilisation. He said the partnership with Sulfozyme Agro reflects the company’s commitment to strengthening the circular economy while promoting downstream value creation. He added that the Zinc Industrial Park has been envisioned as a collaborative platform where companies can leverage Hindustan Zinc’s metal expertise, reliable supply chains and manufacturing capabilities.
The industrial park is emerging as a catalyst for industrial development in Rajasthan by enabling downstream industries, promoting entrepreneurship and generating specialised employment opportunities. Built around sustainability, circular economy principles and renewable energy adoption, the initiative is designed to support long-term regional economic growth while strengthening India’s critical minerals and metals value chain.
