Gujarats Labor Annapurna Scheme Provides Meals for Just Five Rupees

Gandhinagar, March 16: The Gujarat government’s Labor Annapurna Scheme is proving to be a significant relief for workers. Under this initiative, workers can enjoy a hearty and delicious meal for just five rupees. Many workers are benefiting from this scheme daily.

What sets this program apart is that workers not only dine on-site but many also opt to take home packed meals for the same price. This provides them with affordable and nutritious food, greatly easing their daily lives.

The meals typically include rice, lentils, bread, and vegetables. Occasionally, sweets are also served, making the dining experience even more special.

Ramesh, a beneficiary of the scheme, shared that he enjoys tasty meals for just five rupees. He mentioned that he takes food home regularly, which includes rice, lentils, bread, and vegetables, along with sweets on some days. Ramesh praised the government’s initiative, calling it a commendable effort for the welfare of workers.

Thanks to this scheme, workers are accessing nutritious meals at low costs, helping to reduce their overall expenses. Many workers have expressed their gratitude to the government for this initiative.

Ashok, who manages a Labor Annapurna Scheme center in Gandhinagar, reported that over 120 workers come daily to receive meals for five rupees. The meals consist of lentils, rice, bread, and vegetables, with sweets occasionally included. Every worker who visits the center is served food.
