New Delhi, May 9: Suvendu Adhikari took the oath of office as the Chief Minister of West Bengal on Saturday, marking the first time the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has formed a government in the state. Gujarat’s Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel extended his congratulations to Adhikari on this significant achievement.
According to the Gujarat Chief Minister’s office, Bhupendra Patel attended the oath-taking ceremony of the new Chief Minister and presented him with a bouquet, offering his best wishes.
Expressing his happiness, Chief Minister Patel stated that under the visionary leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, all BJP-ruled states are setting new benchmarks in development, good governance, and public welfare. He expressed confidence that West Bengal would now join this journey of progress. He believes that under Prime Minister Modi’s guidance and Suvendu Adhikari’s leadership, West Bengal will realize its commitment to becoming “Sonar Bangla.”
Additionally, CM Bhupendra Patel shared on the social media platform ‘X’ that Gujarat has continuously benefited from Prime Minister Modi’s visionary leadership over the past two and a half decades, resulting in the state reaching new heights of development. He expressed hope that West Bengal, under Modi’s guidance and Adhikari’s leadership, would achieve new milestones in development, peace, good governance, and prosperity.
He also extended heartfelt wishes to all the elected representatives who took the oath as ministers in West Bengal. He stated that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, the BJP’s double-engine government in West Bengal would redefine development. He is confident that the state will achieve new heights of progress and prosperity, fulfilling the aspirations of its people.
Gujarat’s Deputy CM Harsh Sanghvi also congratulated Suvendu Adhikari on ‘X’, wishing him success as he takes on the role of Chief Minister.
