Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel Celebrates Vedic Holi in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad, March 3: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel participated in a Vedic Holi celebration in Ahmedabad on Monday, promoting environmental awareness and praying for the welfare and prosperity of the state’s residents.

The Chief Minister attended the Holi Darshan program in the Memnagar area, where a Vedic Holi was lit to convey a message of environmental conservation. He engaged in traditional rituals, offered prayers, and performed circumambulation around the sacred fire.

Addressing the crowd, CM Patel emphasized that this festival symbolizes the triumph of truth over falsehood and celebrates unity through colors. He stated that Holi encourages people to set aside differences and fosters social harmony. This sacred festival demonstrates the victory of truth over lies and inspires us to strengthen relationships with goodwill, leaving animosities behind.

He further remarked that the festival of colors should be celebrated in a manner that ensures environmental safety. Referring to the event in Memnagar, he praised the initiative to raise awareness about environmental conservation through Vedic Holi.

After the rituals, CM Patel visited the Human Temple, where he offered prayers and regarded the occasion as a blessing. He also congratulated the devotees and local residents present at the event.

This program was part of the broader Holi celebrations across Ahmedabad, where communities gathered to celebrate the festival in traditional ways, promoting social interaction and environmental awareness.

To ensure peace and safety during the Holi and Dhulandi festivities, police conducted extensive foot patrols and flag marches in Zone 5 on Sunday. Special security arrangements were made in sensitive and communally mixed areas with both Hindu and Muslim populations to maintain law and order. Approximately 100 police personnel, including two Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) and eight police inspectors, were deployed in the region.

Officials stated that the main objective of this exercise was to instill fear in history-sheeters and habitual offenders, preventing any untoward incidents during the celebrations.
