Gujarat Board Exams Begin Tomorrow: 16.63 Lakh Students Set to Take Tests, Minister Vaghani Offers Best Wishes

Gandhinagar, February 26: The Gujarat Board exams are set to commence tomorrow, with a total of 16.63 lakh students participating in the 10th and 12th grade assessments. The state government has assured that all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure the exams are conducted smoothly and safely.

Minister Jitu Vaghani extended his best wishes to all students and their parents ahead of the exams. He encouraged students to view the exams as an opportunity rather than a source of anxiety. “Exams are not the end of life; they mark a new beginning,” he stated. Vaghani urged students to approach their papers with confidence and without mental pressure.

Referencing a recent interaction between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and students during the ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ event, Vaghani noted that the Prime Minister inspired students to take their exams with self-confidence and minimal stress. He emphasized that everyone possesses unique abilities and encouraged students to recognize their strengths and focus on their skills.

According to official data, over 9.07 lakh students will sit for the 10th-grade exams, while more than 5.01 lakh students from the general stream and over 1.19 lakh from the science stream will participate in the 12th-grade exams. Additionally, candidates registered for GUJCET will also take their exams during this period, bringing the total number of examinees to 16.63 lakh across the state.

Vaghani highlighted that the state government and the education department have implemented essential facilities and stringent security measures at all exam centers. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and the support of Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi, all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure students can take their exams in a calm environment.

He also appealed to parents to maintain a supportive atmosphere at home. Vaghani advised parents to keep the environment light and to encourage their children rather than exerting excessive pressure. While encouraging students to stay calm during their exams, he advised them to keep their minds clear and express their knowledge to the best of their abilities. “Your hard work will surely pay off,” he concluded.
