Dahod, March 19: Gujarat BJP President Jagdish Vishwakarma addressed a conference for booth workers in Dahod on Thursday. He accused the Congress party of contributing “zero” to development, tribal welfare, and education. He urged party workers to enhance public outreach ahead of local body elections.
While speaking at the gathering, Vishwakarma stated that Congress represents zero progress in terms of development, assistance to tribal communities, and education. He further claimed that the party embodies false promises and deceit.
He alleged that Congress has never aimed to educate or uplift villagers and tribal communities. According to him, the party only appears during election periods. The public has rejected Congress three times, and the people of Gujarat have dismissed it for the past 30 years.
The event, aimed at workers from the Dahod assembly constituency, was attended by several party leaders and officials. Vishwakarma emphasized that the BJP’s organizational strength is rooted in dedicated workers focused on service rather than power. He called on them to promote the party’s “nationalist ideology” and government initiatives to every household as they prepare for the upcoming local self-governance elections.
Addressing the tribal population, he noted that the tribal community is the true guardian of water, land, and forests, highlighting their historical contributions, including sacrifices made for the country’s defense and participation in the freedom movement.
He also acknowledged the legacy of tribal leaders, asserting that their roles should not be forgotten. Vishwakarma credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for steering national politics away from vote bank, caste-based, and regional ideologies towards development.
He mentioned that within 17 days of taking office, the Prime Minister made several crucial decisions, including approvals related to the Narmada Dam. The visible development in Gujarat’s cities and villages reflects this leadership.
Highlighting changes in Dahod, he pointed out that while residents previously migrated for work, efforts are now underway to create local employment opportunities.
