Go Fashion Reports 59% Drop in Q2 Profit Amid Revenue Decline

Go Fashions Q2 profit fell 59% to ₹9 crore, with a 3% revenue decline, impacted by a shift in the festive season calendar.

Mumbai, October 30 (Daily Kiran) : Go Fashion (India) Limited, the operator of the women’s bottomwear brand Go Colors, has reported disappointing financial results for the second quarter of the fiscal year 2026-27. The company’s net profit plummeted by 59% year-on-year to ₹9 crore, down from ₹22 crore in the same quarter last year.

According to a filing with the stock exchange, operational revenue also saw a decline of 3%, totaling ₹217.6 crore, compared to ₹224 crore during the previous year’s corresponding period.

The company’s operational performance faced significant pressure as well. EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization) fell by 21% to ₹53 crore, down from ₹66.8 crore in the same quarter last year. The EBITDA margin also decreased, dropping from 29.8% to 24.2%.

Gautam Sarafagi, the company’s Chief Executive Officer, commented on the results, noting that the performance for this quarter was affected by changes in the festive season calendar. He stated, “In the second quarter of fiscal year 2026-27 and the first half, we continued to focus on our strategic priorities. However, the shift of key festivals to the third quarter impacted our business. Typically, supply to our large format store (LFS) partners before festive demand was moved to October this time.”

He added that the start of the festive season has been promising and that a better assessment of its overall impact will be possible once the season concludes.

During this period, the company maintained its focus on large format stores. In the second quarter, Go Fashion opened nine new stores while closing 23 smaller outlets. Despite this, the total retail area of the company increased to 4.48 lakh square feet as of September 30, 2026, up from 4.34 lakh square feet at the end of March 2026.

The company noted that larger stores are performing better than smaller outlets, allowing it to showcase a wider range of products and provide customers with an enhanced shopping experience.
