Global Dialogue China in Spring Hosts Special Session in Moscow

Moscow, March 22: A global dialogue titled ‘China in Spring: China’s Development and Global Opportunities’ was held in Moscow on March 19, organized jointly by the China Media Group (CMG) and the China Cultural Center in Moscow.

The event featured a video message from Shan Haixiong, Deputy Minister of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and Director-General of CMG. Key participants included Jiang Wei, Minister of the Chinese Embassy in Russia, and Sergey Shakhray, former Deputy Prime Minister of Russia and Dean of the Faculty of Law at the Russian State University for the Humanities. Nearly 200 guests from the political, academic, and media sectors of both China and Russia attended the event.

Shan Haixiong emphasized that the annual sessions of China’s National People’s Congress (NPC) and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) have once again captured global attention as a vital means of observing China in the new era. This year’s sessions approved significant documents, including the outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan, which presents the world with a new “list of opportunities” for high-quality development in China.

Jiang Wei highlighted that one of the most significant achievements of this year’s sessions is the adoption of the 15th Five-Year Plan outline. This plan sets a roadmap for China’s development over the next five years, bringing more certainty to a world filled with uncertainties and opening up extensive opportunities to deepen practical cooperation between China and Russia.
