Four Robbers Escape with Cash in Northeast Delhi Heist

New Delhi, March 8: In a shocking incident on Saturday evening, four robbers made off with a bag full of cash from a man in Northeast Delhi. The police were alerted immediately and arrived at the scene to initiate an investigation.

According to police officials, the Khajuri Khas police station received a report of the robbery on Friday evening along the main Wazirabad Road. The victim, 27-year-old Avinash, reported that he works as a collection agent for a scrap dealer in the Old Seelampur area, Chandni Chowk. He was riding his scooter, transporting cash collected from various locations.

As he approached the Axis Bank ATM on Wazirabad Road, he was suddenly intercepted by four unidentified youths on two motorcycles.

The victim stated that the assailants surrounded him and threatened him before snatching the bag filled with cash. After executing the robbery, the suspects fled the scene quickly, causing panic in the area.

Upon receiving the report, police and forensic teams rushed to the location. They conducted a thorough inspection of the crime scene and collected essential evidence. The police are also reviewing footage from nearby CCTV cameras to identify the culprits.

A case has been registered at the Khajuri Khas police station under sections 309/3(5) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and sections 25/27 of the Arms Act. Police officials have stated that given the seriousness of the incident, special teams have been formed to track down and apprehend the suspects.

Authorities claim that based on technical evidence and CCTV footage, the suspects will be arrested soon. The investigation is ongoing, and police have gathered some evidence from local residents, which is aiding in identifying the robbers. Additionally, they have obtained information regarding the motorcycles used in the crime.
