New Delhi, August 13 (Kiran News) – On the occasion of Independence Day, the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in the national capital will not permit the landing or take-off of any unscheduled flights during specified time slots on August 15. The restrictions will apply to non-scheduled flights of scheduled airlines as well as chartered flights.

According to official sources, the curbs will be in place from 6:00 am to 10:00 am and from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on the day. These measures will not affect the operation of scheduled flights. Government aircraft and helicopters carrying Governors or Chief Ministers, as well as aircraft on quick response missions or emergency medical evacuation, will be exempt from the restrictions.
The Aeronautical Information Service (AIS) under the Airports Authority of India (AAI) has issued a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) regarding the restrictions. A NOTAM generally contains essential operational information for personnel involved in flight operations.
