
Beijing, May 27: Chinese President Xi Jinping’s wife, Peng Liyuan, welcomed Serbia’s First Lady, Tamara Vucic, during her official visit to China on Monday afternoon. Together, they toured the Beijing Dance Academy.
The two first ladies explored the academy’s dance museum, where they learned about the history of Chinese dance art development. Following this, they observed classes in Chinese classical dance and ballet, showing great interest in the educational programs.
Both women enjoyed a theatrical performance presented by students and engaged in friendly conversations with teachers and students. The atmosphere was lively and warm throughout the visit.
Peng Liyuan emphasized that dance transcends borders and serves as a medium for cultural and ideological exchange. She highlighted the vital role of art in promoting cultural exchange and mutual learning. Peng expressed hope that artists from both countries would enhance collaboration and dialogue to create more outstanding artworks.
Tamara Vucic thanked Peng Liyuan for the meaningful event, stating that cultural and artistic exchanges should be continuously promoted to strengthen the friendship between Serbia and China.
