Mumbai, October 31 (Daily Kiran) : Sanjay Gupta, the renowned filmmaker, passed away on October 30, 2026. He was known for sharing glimpses of his personal life on social media, often highlighting his pride in his children’s achievements and talents. Following his death, several of his past posts featuring his kids have garnered attention.

On October 21, Gupta shared his last post on X, showcasing a large Lego structure his daughter was creating at their dining table. He expressed surprise and joy at her creativity, captioning the image, “The biggest Lego structure yet is being built on my dining table. Amazing!!!”

Earlier, he had posted a heartfelt message on Instagram praising his son, Shivansh. In this post, Gupta spoke about his son’s disciplined approach to life and his determination to forge his own identity.

Sharing a picture of Shivansh, Gupta wrote, “I often recount stories from my challenging childhood. We didn’t have much. But my son Shivansh, you have almost everything. Yet, you choose to work hard and carve your own path. Every morning, rain or shine, you wake up at five and reach the gym by 5:30. You start your workout before six and head to school by 7:30, all on your own. You choose to do this despite having the option of asking for help from a cook or driver.”

He continued, “That’s what makes your story commendable, my son. I’m proud of the person you are today and the individual you are becoming. We love you now and always.” He concluded the post with the hashtag ‘Proud Father.’

Gupta began his career in 1994 with the film “Aatish: Feel the Fire.” He carved a niche in Bollywood through action dramas and crime thrillers, directing notable films like “Kaante,” “Musafir,” “Shootout at Lokhandwala,” “Shootout at Wadala,” “Jazbaa,” “Kaabil,” and “Mumbai Saga.” He also collaborated with actor Sanjay Dutt on several projects, including “Kaante,” “Musafir,” and “Zinda.” His last film, “The Miranda Brothers,” was released in 2025.

Tragically, Gupta died after slipping and falling in the bathroom, sustaining a head injury. Filmmaker Ashok Pandit confirmed the news of his passing on social media.
