Festival Special Trains Announced for Diwali and Chhath Puja Travel Rush

Jodhpur, October 18 (Daily Kiran): To provide greater convenience to passengers during Diwali and Chhath Puja, Indian Railways has announced the operation of several festival special trains. Under this initiative, a weekly special train between Jodhpur and Mau will begin service on Sunday, while another special train between Jodhpur and Bandra Terminus will operate from October 22.

According to Jodhpur DRM Anurag Tripathi, train number 04823 Jodhpur–Mau Weekly Festival Special will depart from Jodhpur Railway Station at 5:30 PM on October 19. The train will travel via Merta Road, Jaipur, Mathura Junction, Lucknow, and Ayodhya Dham, reaching Mau Junction at 11:20 PM the following day.

The return train, 04824 Mau–Jodhpur Special, will leave Mau at 4:00 AM on October 21 (Tuesday) and reach Jodhpur via Jaipur the next day at 8:55 AM.

In addition, the Jodhpur–Bandra Terminus–Jodhpur Festival Special will operate for two trips via Jaipur, providing extra convenience to long-distance travelers. Train number 04825 will depart from Jodhpur on October 22 (Wednesday) at 5:30 PM, passing through Merta Road, Jaipur, Kota, and Vadodara, before arriving at Bandra Terminus at 6:20 PM the next day.

The return train from Bandra Terminus will leave on October 23 (Thursday) at 9:20 PM and arrive in Jodhpur the following night at 9:45 PM.

These services aim to ease travel for passengers during the festive rush and ensure smoother connectivity to major cities.
