Kolkata, May 19: The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) in Kolkata has announced an official notification for the recruitment of teaching faculty on a contractual basis for a period of three years at ESIC-PGIMSR and ESIC Medical College. A total of 27 positions are available.
The vacancies include 11 positions for Professors, 11 for Associate Professors, and 5 for Assistant Professors. The departments with openings for Professors include Burns and Plastic Surgery, Cardiology, Endocrinology and Metabolism, Hematology, Gastroenterology, Medical Oncology, Nephrology, Neurology, Pediatric Surgery, Surgical Gastroenterology, and Urology, with one position in each.
Similarly, the 11 Associate Professor positions are available in the same departments. The 5 Assistant Professor roles include 4 in Surgical Super Specialty with Anesthesiology and 1 in Medical Oncology.
Candidates will be selected based on a walk-in interview and document verification. The monthly salaries for the selected candidates will be ₹2,60,226 for Professors, ₹1,73,045 for Associate Professors, and ₹1,48,669 for Assistant Professors. Additional benefits and allowances will also be provided.
The maximum age limit for applicants is set at 69 years, calculated as of the interview date.
The walk-in interview will take place on May 28 at the Academic Block, located on the second floor of ESIC-PGIMSR and ESIC Medical College, Joka. Candidates must arrive for document verification between 9:30 AM and 10:30 AM. Late arrivals after 10:30 AM will not be considered.
All candidates attending the interview are advised to arrive on time and bring original documents along with photocopies.
During registration for the interview, candidates must pay the application fee according to their category. The fee is set at ₹500 for General/EWS/OBC male candidates, while SC/ST/regular ESIC candidates, female candidates, and ex-servicemen are exempt from the registration fee.
