Bhopal, June 13: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan visited Bhopal on Saturday, where he met with Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav to discuss issues related to education, youth development, and governance.
Chief Minister Yadav welcomed Pradhan at his official residence, where both leaders, affiliated with the BJP, engaged in discussions on significant governance and development matters.
Earlier, as part of events celebrating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s long tenure, Pradhan participated in a cleanliness drive at the Nageshwar Mahadev Temple in Suraj Nagar. He emphasized the importance of citizen participation in cleanliness efforts, urging individuals to integrate cleanliness into their daily lives and contribute to a vision of a clean, healthy, and developed India.
Pradhan also visited a shooting academy alongside Madhya Pradesh’s Minister for Sports and Youth Welfare, Vishwas Sarang, where he interacted with athletes. During his address, he highlighted the central government’s focus on skill development and sports under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership.
He noted that the National Education Policy (NEP) places a strong emphasis on promoting sports and physical education, integrating them with mainstream education. Pradhan mentioned that a specific academic framework is being developed to ensure that sports and education progress together.
He referred to the hosting of the 2036 Olympics as a national aspiration and reiterated the commitment to realizing Prime Minister Modi’s vision of a “Developed India” by 2047. He stated, “When India celebrates 100 years of independence, it should emerge as a developed nation and a global power.”
