Pratapgarh, 21 August (Kiran News). A double murder in Billi Kheda village under Dhamottar police station in Pratapgarh district has shocked the entire region. In the early hours of Thursday, while villagers were asleep, a brutal crime unfolded inside a home.
The accused, Premchand, first killed his wife with an axe. He then attacked his own son, who managed to escape and save his life. After that, Premchand went straight to his elder brother Moolchand’s house and attacked him, leading to his brother’s death. The accused did not stop there—he also attacked his nephew Manoj, who was seriously injured in the assault.
Even after committing these crimes, Premchand continued searching for his son.
As word of the incident spread, villagers showed courage by chasing down and capturing the accused, later handing him over to the police.
Upon receiving information, SP B. Aditya reached the scene. He said initial investigation suggests Premchand was unemployed and had been under pressure from his wife and brother to work. Frustration over this issue appears to have led to the gruesome attack. Police believe the accused planned to kill his entire family and then commit suicide.
Police and FSL teams have collected evidence from the scene. The accused is currently being interrogated and all possible angles are being investigated. The village remains in shock and fear after this ruthless crime.
