Maihar, March 20: On the auspicious occasion of Chaitra Navratri, a massive crowd of devotees gathered at the revered Maa Sharda Temple today, marking the second day of the festival.
The divine adornment of the goddess and her celestial appearance moved the devotees deeply. On this special day, Maa Sharda was adorned in blue garments and exquisite gold jewelry. The temple resonated with chants of “Jai Mata Di” as devotees expressed their devotion.
Since the beginning of Chaitra Navratri, a steady influx of devotees has been arriving to seek blessings from Maa Sharda. The temple committee has decided to suspend VIP darshan for nine days to manage the large crowds effectively. This decision aims to ensure that all devotees can have a smooth experience during the festival from March 19 to March 27.
According to the administration, millions of devotees from across the country and abroad visit the temple during Navratri. This measure is intended to prevent any inconvenience to the general public and to maintain an orderly darshan process.
The Maa Sharda Temple is highly revered during Chaitra Navratri. It is believed that this is the site where the necklace of Goddess Sati fell.
