Mathura, August 15: Thousands of devotees flocked to the Banke Bihari Temple in Vrindavan to celebrate Hariyali Teej. The deity was adorned in green attire and swung on a golden and silver swing, creating a festive atmosphere.
One devotee shared insights about the temple, stating, “Today, on the occasion of Hariyali Teej, Thakur Ji is swinging. Devotees have come to seek blessings, and our Thakur Ji is dressed in green. Surrounding Him on the swing are four companions, and the devotees are filled with joy witnessing their beloved deity.”
Describing Thakur Ji’s daily rituals, another devotee mentioned, “Thakur Ji is granting darshan in His youthful form, accompanied by beloved Radha Rani. Today, He is offered ghevar and a variety of 56 dishes. The uniqueness of this swing is that Radha Rani and Thakur Ji sit together. When Radha Rani gets tired and her adornments become disheveled, they are taken to a nearby couch where Thakur Ji lovingly arranges her hair and massages her feet when she feels fatigued.”
Another visitor expressed, “It feels wonderful here. Devotees from across the country and abroad have come to see Thakur Ji. Watching our Narayan swing brings immense joy, especially during this monsoon season.”
A different devotee added, “Seeing Thakur Ji on the swing is a delightful experience. We are blessed by Thakur Ji and Radha Rani.”
One more devotee remarked, “We all came here to have darshan of Thakur Ji, and it has been a truly joyous experience. Today, we are all dressed in green along with Thakur Ji.”
