Deputy CMO Suspended for Alleged Bribery in Gautam Buddha Nagar
Dr. Sachindra Kumar Mishra has been suspended for allegedly soliciting bribes from an unregistered clinic operator in Noida.

Noida, November 3 (Daily Kiran) : The Uttar Pradesh government has taken decisive action against corruption within the health department of Gautam Buddha Nagar. Dr. Sachindra Kumar Mishra, who has previously served as the in-charge of the Bisrakh Community Health Center and is currently the Deputy Chief Medical Officer, has been suspended immediately. He faces serious allegations of soliciting bribes via phone from an operator of an unregistered clinic.
The case escalated to the government level, prompting a swift suspension. The health department in the Meerut division has been tasked with conducting a fair and high-level investigation into the matter. An official suspension letter was issued by V. Hekali Jhimomi, the Principal Secretary of the Health, Medical, and Family Welfare Department.
According to the government order, the disciplinary action against Dr. Mishra took effect on October 22, 2026. However, the Gautam Buddha Nagar health department received a digital copy of this order only on November 3. This delay has sparked discussions within the local health department regarding the implications of the suspension.
Reports indicate that Dr. Mishra previously held the position of Level-3 medical officer at the Bisrakh Community Health Center. He allegedly contacted Pawan Chaudhary, who operates an unregistered clinic in the Bisrakh area, demanding illegal payments. This complaint eventually reached the government, leading to the serious allegations against him.
Recognizing the gravity of the situation, the government decided to suspend Dr. Mishra under the Uttar Pradesh Government Servants Rules. During the suspension, he will be attached to the office of the Additional Director of Medical Health and Family Welfare in the Meerut division. This means that his headquarters during the suspension will be at the Meerut office. Additionally, the investigation will also be conducted at the Meerut division level to thoroughly examine all facts and circumstances related to the allegations.
Dr. Manoj Sen, the Additional Director of the Meerut division, confirmed Dr. Mishra’s suspension. He stated that their office has received the letter regarding the action against the Level-3 officer. Following the directives from higher authorities, a special investigation team will soon be formed to ensure an impartial inquiry into the matter. The team will gather evidence and witness statements to determine the next steps based on the findings.
This action has triggered a wave of activity within the Gautam Buddha Nagar health department, particularly among operators of unregistered clinics, who are now discussing the implications of this case. The government’s response is being viewed as a firm stance against alleged corruption within the health department.
