Delightful Rain Brings Relief to Delhi-NCR; Yellow Alert Issued for August 6

Noida, August 6: Light to moderate rainfall that has persisted since last night has transformed the weather in Delhi-NCR. The continuous rain and dense clouds have led to a drop in temperature, providing much-needed relief from the heat and humidity experienced over the past few days. However, the meteorological department has issued a yellow alert for August 6, advising residents to remain vigilant.

According to the department, there is a likelihood of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder throughout the day. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts a maximum temperature of 32 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 23 degrees Celsius for today.

Humidity levels are expected to remain high, with maximum humidity reaching 95 percent and minimum at 90 percent. This may lead to a feeling of mugginess during the rain. The forecast indicates light to moderate rain with thunder in the morning, similar weather conditions in the afternoon, and light rain or drizzles expected in the evening and night.

Looking ahead, the maximum temperature on August 7 is predicted to be 33 degrees Celsius, with a minimum of 23 degrees Celsius. Cloud cover and moderate rainfall are also anticipated for this day. No warnings have been issued for August 7.

On August 8, the maximum temperature is expected to rise to 34 degrees Celsius, with a minimum of 24 degrees Celsius. The IMD suggests that there will be general cloudiness and light rain on this day. Similarly, August 9 is forecasted to have a maximum of 34 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 25 degrees Celsius, with chances of light rain or drizzle.

By August 10, temperatures are expected to stabilize at a maximum of 33 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 25 degrees Celsius, with continued cloud cover and light rain possible. On August 11, the forecast remains similar, with a maximum of 33 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 24 degrees Celsius, and light rain expected. No warnings have been issued for the period from August 7 to 11.

Meteorological experts indicate that the monsoon remains active in Delhi-NCR, suggesting that the pattern of cloud movement and intermittent rain will continue for several days. While the rain will help regulate temperatures and provide relief from extreme heat, the high humidity may persist. Additionally, ongoing rainfall could lead to issues such as waterlogging and traffic congestion in various areas.
