Delhis LG Tarunjeet Singh Sandhu Celebrates Ram Navami with Temple Visit and Key Meetings

New Delhi, March 27: On the occasion of Ram Navami, Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor Tarunjeet Singh Sandhu visited the Ram Temple located in Model Town. Following his visit, he met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Sri Lankan High Commissioner to India, Mahishini Colonne. Sandhu has consistently emphasized that governance should be citizen-centric and accountable.

On Friday, Sandhu sought blessings from Lord Ram at the temple in North Delhi’s Model Town. After his visit, he toured the local area and markets. In a post on the social media platform ‘X’, Sandhu expressed, “Model Town is a place deeply connected to my student life at Delhi University, where I graduated from St. Stephen’s College.”

While strolling through the old streets of Delhi, Sandhu enjoyed local favorites like chaat and bhalla, reminiscing fondly about his student days.

He later engaged with residents in the market, inquiring about local issues. Sandhu highlighted the importance of direct feedback from the public, stating it would aid in guiding the future operations of various government agencies.

Afterward, he traveled by metro from Model Town to the university. In another post on ‘X’, he mentioned his meetings with officials and ministers, stating, “I was very pleased to meet my friend, Sri Lankan High Commissioner Mahishini Colonne, and also had a meeting with Honorable Home Minister Amit Shah.”

Earlier last week, Lieutenant Governor Sandhu met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, where he shared his experiences at the Lok Nivas and discussed steps to fulfill PM Modi’s vision of ‘Developed Delhi@2047’.

Additionally, Sandhu met with President Droupadi Murmu to discuss issues related to the national capital.
