Delhi Government Assures Stable LPG Supply Amid Rumors

New Delhi, March 16: Amid rising rumors regarding LPG supply in the national capital, the Delhi government has declared the situation to be completely normal. Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa reassured residents on Sunday that the LPG supply in the city is stable and there is no need for panic.

He stated that the government and relevant departments are closely monitoring the situation. Approximately 70 teams from the police, Weights and Measures Department, and Food and Supply Department are actively working across Delhi to ensure the smooth management of LPG supply.

In a post on the social media platform X, Sirsa wrote, “I want to assure all Delhi residents that the LPG supply is completely stable, and there is no need for any panic. Teams from the police, Weights and Measures, and Food and Supply Department are actively monitoring the supply throughout Delhi.”

Sirsa further urged the public not to pay attention to rumors, emphasizing that the supply is well-organized and that the government stands with every family in Delhi. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Mrs. Rekha Gupta, they are continuously reviewing the situation to ensure the availability of LPG remains secure.

Earlier, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also warned that strict action would be taken against any individual or organization spreading misinformation or rumors about a shortage of LPG in the city. She urged citizens to disregard such rumors, stating that despite the ongoing conflict in Iran affecting the global fuel supply chain, there are sufficient fuel reserves to meet public demand.

While speaking to reporters at an event, the Chief Minister remarked that spreading rumors and creating panic among people is inappropriate. She assured that both the central and state governments are responsibly monitoring the situation and that there is no need for citizens to panic. Some individuals are attempting to create unnecessary fear and promote hoarding, which is against national interest. The government is keeping a close watch on such activities and will take action against those spreading rumors.
