A passengers entry onto the tracks at Lajpat Nagar Metro Station caused delays on the Violet Line, while other services remained normal.

New Delhi, October 19 (Daily Kiran) : Train services on the Violet Line of the Delhi Metro faced delays on October 19 due to a passenger entering the tracks at Lajpat Nagar Metro Station. According to an update from Delhi Metro, all other lines continued to operate normally.
The Delhi Metro took to social media platform X to inform commuters, stating, “Service Update: Train services on the Violet Line are delayed due to a passenger on the tracks at Lajpat Nagar Metro Station. All other lines are operating normally.”
This incident follows a previous disruption on October 14, when the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) closed entry and exit at 45 metro stations amid protests against CEC Gyanesh Kumar by the Cockroach People’s Party (CJP). The DMRC had filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court, detailing that on October 10, it operated 271 trains as per the scheduled timetable, completing a total of 4,157 trips across the network.
Additionally, security measures were heightened in Delhi on October 12 ahead of a Supreme Court march by the Indi Alliance. During this time, entry and exit gates at six metro stations were closed, and several routes were diverted. The DMRC had announced that these gates would be shut from 6 AM to 4 PM on that day.
