Los Angeles, March 3: Daniel Radcliffe, the star of the ‘Harry Potter’ series, has openly discussed his fitness journey and passion for health. He revealed that there was a time when his lifestyle was quite poor, but now he takes fitness very seriously.
Radcliffe explained how he abandoned bad habits and incorporated gym workouts and a healthy routine into his life. In a recent interview, he shared that during his teenage years, he relied on “coffee and cigarettes all day.” Although he has quit smoking, some habits lingered, but he is now very dedicated to fitness.
In a humorous tone, the actor remarked, “I don’t look like a fitness freak, but I take it quite seriously. I think I was once an alcoholic or addicted to something, and then I turned that addiction into gym time.”
His current fitness routine is quite rigorous, including weight training, circuit training, and regular cardio. He mentioned his love for coffee, which he still enjoys throughout the day, but he no longer smokes. This transformation began in 2012 when he decided to quit alcohol, which he described as “the easiest way to avoid being mindful of myself.”
The ‘Harry Potter’ actor cited his two-year-old son as a significant motivation for staying healthy. This routine not only keeps him fit but also helps him spend quality time with his family. Radcliffe shared that he has developed a habit of waking up around 5 a.m. because of his son. He said, “My son uses a night light that changes from blue to yellow by 6 a.m. Then I hear him shouting, ‘It’s yellow, come get me!'”
Daniel and his long-time partner, Erin Darke, have a son whose name they have not publicly disclosed.
