Conversion Cannot Happen; Dharma is Eternal, Says Jagadguru Mahabrahmarsi Kumar Swami Ji

Jalandhar, September 30 (Daily Kiran) : Jagadguru Mahabrahmarsi Kumar Swami Ji spoke in Jalandhar on September 30 regarding the rising issues of drug abuse and religious conversion in Punjab. He asserted, “Conversion does not happen; it cannot happen. Just as the sun cannot change, Dharma also cannot change. Dharma means eternal, which has existed since the beginning of time.”

He elaborated that what is currently happening is a matter of sect, not true religion. “How can Dharma change? Just as the Earth cannot transform, the essence of Dharma remains unchanged. The Gita states that the five elements—earth, fire, water, air, and sky—along with the sixth element, the soul, embody Dharma. This has been our Dharma since time immemorial. Lord Krishna in the Gita declares, ‘I am Dharma; I am spirituality.’ Durga Ma also proclaims that she is Dharma. The creator of the Earth, moon, and stars is the true essence of Dharma, and only that which created the sun and moon has the power to remove them. There is only one Dharma, and it is eternal.”

Addressing the ongoing conversions from Hinduism to Christianity, he warned that anyone who undergoes such a change will face suffering, illness, and crises. “Those who have converted cannot escape their past; they will not find liberation,” he stated.

Kumar Swami Ji emphasized that those who do not recognize the soul and the Supreme Soul will never understand true devotion. He argued that the current activities under the guise of conversion are fundamentally wrong and lead only to more negativity. “Just as cleanliness is achieved after removing dirt, true devotion cannot exist without a clear mind,” he remarked.

He urged that people should be educated and guided about the true meaning of Dharma, which should lead to happiness, peace, and joy. “There is no intoxication in true Dharma; it is entirely natural and enriches individuals. Paying to convert is a business, not a religion,” he asserted.

On the issue of drug addiction in Punjab, Kumar Swami Ji stated that drugs provide no benefits. They damage the kidneys, liver, and overall health. “Drugs offer only a brief high and nothing more. Many have successfully avoided addiction. Our scriptures teach that there is a higher joy in Dharma that surpasses any external intoxication. Therefore, the promotion of Dharma should increase, and people must be educated about it,” he concluded.

He further accused those promoting conversion of misleading individuals, claiming their actions aim to undermine the nation. “This threatens our values, our children, and ultimately harms our country,” he warned.
