Congress Demands Resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Over Allegations of Electoral Fraud
Congress leaders in Ranchi call for the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, alleging electoral fraud and government oppression.

Ranchi, October 10 (Daily Kiran) : The Congress party has intensified its criticism of the central government and the Election Commission, demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. During a press conference in Ranchi, Jharkhand Congress President Keshav Mahato Kamlesh accused the government of undermining democracy and acting as a tyrant.
Kamlesh stated that the current administration is using constitutional institutions as tools for its agenda, declaring that the time for reckoning has arrived. “The bell of destruction has rung, and he must resign,” he asserted.
He further claimed that the government came to power through electoral fraud and that the public is well aware of this reality. As Congress leader Rahul Gandhi works to amplify this message, Kamlesh criticized efforts to disrupt peaceful protests and rallies.
Referring to the recent protests in Delhi, he expressed outrage over the extreme measures taken by the government, including shutting down metro services, halting train operations from other states, and significantly increasing flight fares. He noted the heavy police presence in the area, questioning why the government feels so threatened.
“Why is the government so afraid? If they had conducted transparent elections, we wouldn’t be in this situation,” he remarked. Kamlesh also targeted Gyanesh Kumar, alleging that he facilitated electoral fraud across various states, including Haryana, Maharashtra, and Bihar. He highlighted that millions of eligible voters have been disenfranchised through various conspiracies, claiming that approximately 13 million voter names have been removed nationwide.
This escalating tension reflects a broader discontent with the current political climate and raises questions about the integrity of the electoral process in India.
