Beijing, February 17: The ‘2026 Spring Festival Gala’ presented by China Media Group (CMG) has enchanted viewers worldwide. This grand cultural event showcased a unique blend of tradition, technology, and international appeal.

Preliminary data indicates that by midnight on Monday, the event reached an impressive 677 million viewers. It garnered 13.5 billion views across digital platforms. On CMG’s official app, it was viewed 578 million times, marking an increase of over 53.39 million compared to 2025.

The gala’s popularity among young audiences has been remarkable, with 43.7% of youth tuning in through various media, a 10% rise from the previous year.

The global impact of this event continues to grow. It was broadcast by nearly 4,000 international media outlets, a 37.95% increase from 2025. On the social media platforms of CGTN, a subsidiary of CMG, it achieved 87.29 million views, approximately 20% higher than last year.

This year’s Spring Festival Gala theme was ‘Running Horse, Unstoppable Pace,’ symbolizing self-improvement and determination. The event conveyed warm New Year wishes to global audiences while promoting a beautiful message of cultural exchange.
