CM Mohan Yadav Highlights the Fertility and Prosperity of Chambal Region

Bhind, August 26: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has made a significant announcement for Bhind, stating that the Chambal region is not only fertile but also sustainable and profitable. He inaugurated the fourth new unit of Godrej Consumer Products Limited in the industrial area of Malanpur, Bhind district.

The company has invested over ₹450 crores in this venture, establishing Asia’s largest soap factory in Malanpur. This development is expected to create hundreds of job opportunities in the region.

During the inauguration, CM Yadav reflected on Bhind’s past challenges but emphasized the transformation the area has undergone. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, both the state and the nation are evolving. He described Bhind as a unique region, even humorously noting that Lord Hanuman resides here as a doctor.

Yadav highlighted the ongoing changes in Chambal, asserting that the land is now fertile, sustainable, and profitable. This new unit marks the third industrial establishment to open in the state within less than two months, following the launch of a ₹1,500 crore cement plant in Guna and a ₹3,500 crore plant in Shivpuri.

He stated that the government has not just signed MOUs but has actively implemented them. The soap industry established here will produce 4,000 soaps per minute. Yadav noted that through business ventures, many households are illuminated, paving the way for prosperity. The new investment of ₹450 crores is a testament to the “Made-in-MP” and “Faith-in-MP” initiatives.

He pointed out that while typically only 10% of MOUs are realized, Madhya Pradesh stands out with over 30% of investments coming to fruition. More than ₹10 lakh crores in various investments are taking shape, with several factories already commencing production. The state’s export capacity has surged to ₹76,000 crores. Despite lacking a coastline, Madhya Pradesh’s products are reaching markets across seven seas.
