Ranchi, 27 August (Kiran News). People across various districts of Jharkhand received much-needed relief on Wednesday as the weather cleared up.

In Ranchi and several other districts, the morning saw bright sunshine, helping to reduce waterlogging in many areas. However, some regions continued to experience cloudy skies. Notably, the continuous rainfall over the past three to four days had disrupted daily life in Ranchi and surrounding districts. Many people had fallen ill due to exposure to rain.
Hospitals are reporting a large number of patients suffering from cold, cough, and fever. The appearance of sunshine is bringing relief to residents.
However, according to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain may occur in several parts of the state until 29 August. A yellow alert has been issued by the department regarding this.
In the past 24 hours, the highest rainfall in the state was recorded at Anandpur in West Singhbhum district, measuring 85 millimetres.
On Wednesday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 27°C in Ranchi, 31°C in Jamshedpur, 30°C in Bokaro, 31°C in Daltonganj, and 30°C in Chaibasa.
