Chinese Premier Li Qiang Inspects Dalian City in Liaoning Province

Beijing, June 23: Chinese Premier Li Qiang visited Dalian City in Liaoning Province on June 22. He emphasized the need to accelerate the construction of a modern industrial system focused on intelligent, green, and integrated development. This approach aims to continuously inspire high-quality growth.

During his visit to the Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Group, Li Qiang listened to a work report. He boarded a ship under construction to learn about the development of liquefied natural gas transport vessels. Li noted that high-level shipbuilding is characterized by advanced technology, significant complexity, and high added value. The industrial chain is extensive, and its impact is substantial. He stressed the importance of enhancing research and development in key technologies to improve independent innovation capabilities.

At the Dalian Nuclear Power Petrochemical Company, under China First Heavy Industries (CFHI), Li Qiang gathered information on research related to nuclear energy and petrochemical equipment. He highlighted that advanced nuclear energy and other high-level equipment are crucial for the country’s energy, industry, and technology security. There is a need to strengthen the deep integration of technological and industrial innovation while promoting the safe use of the next generation of nuclear energy. Additionally, enhancing the resilience of industrial and supply chains is vital to boost core competitive strength.
