Chinas Social Logistics Value Sees 5% Growth in First Seven Months of 2026

Beijing, August 31: According to data released by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, the total value of social logistics in China reached 21.45 trillion yuan in the first seven months of this year. This marks a 5.0% increase compared to the same period last year. The steady growth in the total value of social logistics continues, along with an optimization of demand structure.

The fundamentals of industrial freight remain stable, with clear trends toward structural upgrades. In the first seven months, the total value of industrial goods transportation increased by 5.3% compared to the same period last year, with manufacturing-related freight being the primary source of this growth. In July, the demand for manufacturing-related freight rose by 5.5% year-on-year, exceeding the overall growth rate of industrial goods transportation by 1.0 percentage point.

The growth rate of import logistics has stabilized, although significant variations in cargo structure have been observed. In the first seven months, the total value of import logistics increased by 1.8% compared to the same period last year, with a continued surge in high-tech and electromechanical products.
