Chinas Car Exports Expected to Exceed 10 Million This Year

Chinas car exports are projected to surpass 10 million units this year, driven by a surge in new energy vehicles.

Beijing, October 16 (Daily Kiran) : Recent data from the China Automobile Industry Association indicates that the country’s car exports are expected to exceed 10 million units this year. The growth in exports is significantly fueled by new energy vehicles, which have become a driving force in the sector.

From January to September, the volume of Chinese car exports reached 8.205 million units, marking a remarkable 65.8% increase compared to the same period last year. With this momentum, it is anticipated that total exports will surpass the 10 million mark by year-end.

Several autonomous automobile brands in China have reported substantial export growth this year. The Chery Group, for instance, exported a total of 1.5512 million cars in the first three quarters, reflecting a 65.6% rise from the previous year. Meanwhile, the MG brand, under the Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation, sold over 280,000 units in the European market during the same period, which is a 23% increase year-on-year.

Moreover, China’s car export landscape is continually expanding, with Europe, South America, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East emerging as key markets.
