
New Delhi, September 15 (Daily Kiran) : Following the recent BRICS summit in New Delhi, China has expressed a strong desire to improve its relations with India. The meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Xi Jinping has set the stage for deeper collaboration, according to China’s ambassador to India, Shou Feihong.
In a post on the social media platform X, Shou highlighted that this was the third meeting between the two leaders in three years. He noted that their discussions have evolved from re-establishing bilateral ties in Kazan to enhancing cooperation in Tianjin. The most significant outcome of their latest meeting was the mutual agreement that China and India should act as partners.
Shou emphasized that as the world’s most populous countries and key members of the Global South, both nations must focus on development. He pointed out that strengthening friendly exchanges and mutually beneficial cooperation is crucial, as is improving public perception of their bilateral relations.
The ambassador further stated that both sides should address each other’s economic and trade concerns in a balanced manner. This approach will foster healthy and stable economic ties. Additionally, they agreed to support each other during their BRICS presidency, promote collaboration within the Global South, and contribute to the establishment of a multipolar world.
Shou also mentioned the importance of managing disputes and differences appropriately to maintain peace in border areas. He reiterated China’s commitment to implementing the significant agreements reached between the two leaders. The goal is to deepen exchanges between people, enhance cooperation on multilateral platforms, and continuously work together to improve their relationship, ultimately contributing to regional peace and prosperity.
