Beijing, September 14 (Daily Kiran) : China has officially launched a coordinated monitoring system for integrated computing power, as announced during the 2026 China Computing Power Conference held in Langfang, Hebei Province, from September 11 to 13.
In recent years, the development of computing power infrastructure in China has expanded significantly, with continuous improvements in its layout. However, challenges remain, including a fragmented setup, lack of clear resource status, delays in dynamic monitoring, and insufficient coordination across various sectors. In response to these issues, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has guided the industry in systematically advancing an automated and sensitive monitoring system for computing power.
The China Computing Power Platform serves as a comprehensive service platform for national computing capabilities. Currently, over 10,000 registered enterprise users are connected to the platform, which lists more than 2,000 computing power products and includes over 300 large models. This platform provides developers with services related to the demand and usage of computing power, recording billions of monitoring data points to date.
According to He Paohong, chief engineer at the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, the platform has successfully connected the 31 provincial-level platforms in the country. This initiative has established a coordinated and efficient national monitoring system for computing power based on uniform standards. It has effectively reduced regional barriers and addressed the issue of data islands.
The new system allows for a clearer understanding of the computing power landscape across the nation, enabling real-time tracking of dynamic changes and operational oversight. This lays the groundwork for advancing the construction of computing power in China towards a more integrated, efficient, and ubiquitous coordination model.
The theme of the 2026 conference was “Weaving the Network of Computing Power, Starting a New Future with Intelligence.”
