Chief Minister Mohan Yadav Announces Boost in Religious Tourism and Employment in Maihar

Maihar, August 20: Chief Minister Mohan Yadav of Madhya Pradesh has announced that the construction of Sharda Lok in Maihar will significantly enhance religious tourism and create job opportunities for local residents.

On Wednesday, Chief Minister Yadav performed the ground-breaking ceremony for the first phase of Sharda Lok, which is estimated to cost around ₹9 crores. He emphasized that the holy city of Maihar is a major center of faith for devotees across the country. Yadav expressed his hope that the blessings of Maa Sharda will always be with the people of the state, guiding Madhya Pradesh on a path of continuous progress and development. The establishment of Sharda Lok is expected to increase religious tourism in Maihar, thereby generating employment and strengthening the local economy.

During his visit to the world-renowned Maa Sharda Mata Temple in Maihar, Chief Minister Yadav conducted rituals and prayed for the prosperity and welfare of the state’s residents. Following the prayers, he was honored by the temple management and district administration with a portrait of Maa Sharda.

Yadav also reviewed the facilities at the temple complex, gathering information about the arrangements for devotees and the services available. He stated that after the development of Mahakal Lok in Ujjain, the state government is committed to enhancing religious sites across Madhya Pradesh. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ₹3,000 crores have been approved for various development projects, including the Shri Ram Van Gaman Path and the conservation of the Mandakini River in Chitrakoot. The ground-breaking ceremony for the first phase of Maa Sharda Lok in Maihar marks a significant step in this initiative.

Additionally, Yadav mentioned that following the eradication of Naxalism, the state government is now focused on combating substance abuse. He announced the closure of liquor shops at 19 religious sites, reaffirming the government’s commitment to protecting future generations from addiction. He urged families to maintain open communication with their children to keep them away from drugs and ensure a better future.
