Chief Minister Dhami Highlights Modis Achievements as Prime Minister

Dehradun, June 12: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami addressed the media at the BJP state office on Balveer Road, marking the completion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 12 years in office. He emphasized that this period has been dedicated to public welfare, good governance, service, and the upliftment of the poor. The Chief Minister extended best wishes to Modi on behalf of every resident of Devbhoomi, wishing him longevity and good health.

Dhami noted that Modi has set a new record as an elected Prime Minister. He mentioned that on October 7, 2026, Modi will also complete 25 years in public life, holding both the positions of Chief Minister and Prime Minister.

He stated that the public’s blessings led to Modi becoming Prime Minister for the first time in 2014. The people have shown their support consistently in 2014, 2019, and 2024, proving that the nation now votes based on work rather than slogans. Under Modi’s leadership, India has become a confident, secure, and respected nation globally.

The Chief Minister criticized the Congress party, stating that during their tenure, plans remained on paper. In contrast, under Modi’s government, initiatives are implemented effectively. He highlighted that projects launched today are inaugurated on schedule, unlike in the past when they would remain pending for years.

Dhami pointed out that while Congress made promises to eradicate poverty, Modi has successfully lifted 25 crore people out of poverty. He also mentioned that corruption was systemic during Congress’s rule, whereas Modi’s government has transferred ₹4.31 lakh crore directly to beneficiaries’ accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). He affirmed that if ₹1 is sent from Delhi or Dehradun, the full amount reaches the intended beneficiary.

The Chief Minister remarked that Congress had long evaded the issue of the Ram Temple and dismissed the Ram Setu as mythical. Under Modi’s leadership, the Ram Temple has been constructed, honoring both cultural faith and national pride.

He contrasted Modi’s policy of satisfaction with Congress’s approach of appeasement. Dhami noted that Modi prioritizes the advancement of farmers. After taking the oath for the third time, Modi’s first signature was on the file for the Kisan Samman Nidhi. Under his leadership, 81 crore people have received free rations, 4 crore poor families have been provided with permanent housing, and 11 crore mothers and sisters have benefited from the Ujjwala scheme. Initiatives like the Jan Dhan Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, Jal Jeevan Mission, and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan have significantly transformed the lives of the poor.

Dhami emphasized that Uttarakhand is not only a land of gods but also a land of heroes, with every fifth soldier in the country’s defense hailing from Uttarakhand. He stated that India now responds to terrorism decisively. Surgical strikes and airstrikes have introduced the world to India’s new approach. Through Operation Sindoor, the Indian Army has destroyed terrorist bases in Pakistan. He noted that under Modi’s leadership, the threat of Naxalism is diminishing, and development is on the rise.

The Chief Minister highlighted that in 2014, India constructed 11 kilometers of road daily, whereas today, over 34 kilometers are built each day. Vande Bharat trains, the Atal Tunnel, Chenab Bridge, and modern railway stations have become symbols of the new India. India has also emerged as the third-largest domestic aviation market in the world.
