Gairsain, March 9: Ahead of the Uttarakhand Assembly’s budget session, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met with sanitation workers, police personnel, and other staff contributing to the successful conduct of the assembly session on Monday. He took the time to converse with them and inquire about their well-being.
On Monday morning, CM Dhami visited Gairsain. During his tour, he interacted with police officers assigned to duty for the assembly session, checking on their welfare and boosting their morale. He also met with sanitation workers and other employees.
The Chief Minister shared special photos of these meetings on social media, where he was seen exercising in a gym and paying homage to Lord Surya.
Earlier, on Sunday, Dhami participated in a meeting of the BJP legislative party in Gairsain, discussing important topics related to the preparations for the assembly session with ministers and legislators. BJP state president and Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt was also present.
He met with Uttarakhand Assembly Speaker Ritu Khanduri, where they discussed various issues related to the upcoming budget session. Additionally, he met with Leader of the Opposition Yashpal Arya in Gairsain.
Upon arriving in Gairsain on Sunday, CM Dhami posted on ‘X’, stating, “Upon reaching here before the Uttarakhand Assembly’s budget session, local residents and BJP workers gave a warm welcome. This budget session will undoubtedly pave the way for significant decisions towards comprehensive development, public welfare, and a bright future for Uttarakhand.”
It is noteworthy that the two-day budget session of the Uttarakhand Assembly will commence on Monday. The session will begin with an address from the Governor, retired Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh, at the assembly building located in Bharaarisain, Gairsain.
According to the schedule, the Governor’s address is set for 11 AM on Monday, followed by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami presenting the state budget for 2026-27 at 3 PM.
