Chhattisgarh Congress Leaders Depart for Delhi to Join Save Vote, Save Nation Rally

Chhattisgarh Congress leaders head to Delhi for a major rally, criticizing BJP and highlighting electoral integrity issues.

Raipur, October 30 (Daily Kiran) : Senior Congress leaders from Chhattisgarh have set off for Delhi to participate in the upcoming “Save Vote, Save Nation” rally scheduled for November 1. The event is expected to draw significant attention as it aims to address pressing issues related to electoral integrity.

Phoolo Devi Netam, a Congress member of the Rajya Sabha, emphasized the importance of this rally, stating, “We frequently travel to Delhi for various reasons, but this time, a national movement is taking shape at Ramleela Maidan. Leaders from the grand alliance and a large number of party workers will be present. This will be a major rally, and we are committed to participating.”

Criticizing the BJP’s “Save Democracy Journey,” Netam remarked that Rahul Gandhi‘s statements reflect a growing acknowledgment within the BJP about the state of democracy in the country. “For a long time, they ignored the threats to democracy. Now, as democratic principles are being undermined and the Constitution is being disregarded, the BJP has finally realized the need to protect democracy. They should feel ashamed for holding such rallies,” she added.

Leader of the Opposition Charan Das Mahant noted that numerous workers from Chhattisgarh are heading to Delhi to ensure the success of the rally. “Some are leaving today, while others will depart tomorrow. Our goal is to make this national movement a success,” he said.

Mahant further criticized the BJP for its tendency to evade accountability. “They are always looking for excuses, but the time for evasion is over. The public understands the reality,” he asserted.

Former Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu elaborated on the rally’s objectives, explaining that the All India Congress Committee is organizing this significant event to address the current political climate, particularly issues surrounding electoral fraud. “Rahul Gandhi is consistently raising awareness about how votes are being manipulated and how Congress votes are being systematically erased. The BJP has been forming governments based on this manipulation, leading to increasing authoritarianism and misuse of constitutional institutions,” he said.

Sahu highlighted that the “Save Vote, Save Nation” rally aims to unite millions from across the country to confront these challenges.

Legislator Sandeep Sahu stressed the AICC’s directive for all leaders and workers to attend the rally. “We have a responsibility to raise our voices against the ongoing vote theft. The Congress Party and its allies are persistently demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, while the BJP’s defense of him is unfortunate,” he stated.

Sandeep Sahu also pointed out that the revelations made through media should not be disregarded by the BJP. He reiterated that the upcoming rally at Ramleela Maidan is a crucial step in the fight to protect democracy. “The BJP will do anything to conceal their vote theft, but the entire nation knows that Prime Minister Modi’s government is built on stolen votes,” he concluded.
