Celebrating Chinese New Year: 10,000 Gather in The Hague

The Hague, February 23: Nearly 10,000 people celebrated the Chinese New Year in Chinatown, The Hague, Netherlands, with a vibrant dragon and lion dance parade, accompanied by fireworks.

The Mayor of The Hague, Jan van Zanen, extended his best wishes for the Chinese New Year during the event. He emphasized that cultural events like the Spring Festival help build bridges of mutual understanding between the Chinese and Dutch communities, significantly contributing to the friendship between China and the Netherlands.

The Hague House of Culture also hosted a Chinese cultural market featuring dozens of stalls. Attendees enjoyed a variety of offerings, including handicrafts, cultural and creative products, festive foods, and interactive cultural experiences.
