Brazil Names Five Uncapped Players for Upcoming Friendlies Against Japan and Singapore

Brazils national team includes five uncapped players for friendlies against Japan and Singapore, showcasing a blend of youth and experience.

Rio de Janeiro, October 30 (Daily Kiran) : Brazil’s national football team has announced a squad featuring five uncapped players for friendly matches against Japan and Singapore. This decision reflects the team’s commitment to integrating new talent.

Among the newcomers is forward Allan Elias from Manchester City. Joining him are defender Jonathan Jesus from Cruzeiro, midfielder André Luiz from Corinthians, and Shakhtar Donetsk duo Marlon Gomes and Alisson Santana.

Manager Carlo Ancelotti highlighted the unique strengths of each player during a press conference. He described Jonathan Jesus as a “very strong, fast, aggressive, and intelligent center-back,” while noting Marlon Gomes’ enthusiasm. Ancelotti emphasized the importance of getting to know these players better.

Brazil will face Japan on November 14, followed by a match against Singapore three days later. Both games are set to take place at Singapore’s National Stadium. The match against Japan marks a reunion for both teams since the 2026 FIFA World Cup, while the encounter with Singapore will be a first for the men’s teams.

Ancelotti opted not to include any players from Flamengo or Palmeiras, both of whom are competing for the Brazilian Serie A title. He explained that the 26-player roster continues the process initiated since the World Cup.

“We need to focus less on the opposing team and more on what we need to do, what we want, and how to evolve the team,” Ancelotti stated. “This is an ideal time to search for a new generation. We started this in the FIFA window in October and we are continuing. We have young players who could be the future of the Brazil team, including nine Olympic-age players and 15 under 23. This team is being built with the future in mind.”
